The Moorings

“The Moorings”, Reedham, Norfolk

Accommodation at the cottage consists of a front entrance to the sitting room with its cosy inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, with a bay window with window seat affording views of the river. Leading from the sitting room is a door to the newly refitted kitchen with modern appliances and a stable door to the charming garden room with pine table and chairs for your meals. Also leading from the kitchen is the shower room and loo.

From the sitting room, steepish stairs (not suitable for the infirm) lead to the accommodation on the first floor. This consists of two twin bedded rooms one with views of the river, the adjoining other with garden views to the rear of the property.

Private parking for one car is provided at the front of the cottage, with further free parking available on the Quay. There is an enclosed small garden and elevated seating area with table, chairs and sunshade to the front of the property.

The village of Reedham makes an excellent location for visiting the historic city of Norwich with its Museums, Theatres, Cafes and Shopping, also Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft for the traditional seaside experience all easily accessible by car or by frequent trains from Reedham station, within walking distance.Why not take the famous Reedham Ferry and visit the bustling town of Beccles in Suffolk. Reedham is well provided with three pubs all serving food, a fish and chip shop and general store within ¼ mile. Cupcakes café serving light meals etc. and a post office and gift shop within 100 yards.

The deposit required if the booking is made more than 4 weeks prior to your arrival date is 1/3 of the rental fee. The balance will be due 4 weeks before the commencement of your holiday. (Non payment of the balance by the due date will be construed as cancellation of the holiday and we reserve the right to let elsewhere). FULL payment is required if the booking is made less than 4 weeks prior to the start of your holiday.  Please note a reservation deposit is non-refundable unless an alternative letting is arranged.

Visitors to “The Moorings” are asked to observe the following…

  • Cottage sleeps max. 4 persons.
  • Two twin bedded bedrooms. (This consists of two interconnected twin bedded rooms)
  • Hire Saturday to Saturday….in at 3.00pm leave by 10.00 am.
  • Max.2 well behaved pets allowed (surcharge £15 each.)
  • Bed linen and towels provided.
  • Strictly no smoking.
  • No children under 7 years, except babe in arms,(travel cot available. You provide bedding).
  • Cottage is 200 years old, so unsuitable for the infirm or wheelchair access.
  • Unfenced river within 50 yards. Children be aware.
